As a Daytona Beach homeowner I watch the local real estate market with some self interest hoping to see my home's value increase but also for fun. When I saw 413 5th Ave come on the market I was immediately interested. We've always wanted to be beachside, Tiffany and I love the style of the home. We also have been looking for a hobby house to fix up and sell (although from the start we've preferred living in this one).
We watched the price drop twice and finally decided to put an offer in. We made our highest and best offer. I've heard it said that something is only worth what another person is willing to pay for it. We really had no idea if we were over paying or under paying, but one thing we knew is that our offer was the highest and best we could afford.
After two rounds of negotiations the seller accepted our original offer. The purchase experience reminded me about your and my own value; not our self worth (what we think we are worth) or the value others place on us (what they think we are capable of doing for them) but our intrinsic worth as people created in God's image. And even more than that, the fact the to God we are worth the price of his own Son in exchange for us, his highest and best.
Redemption House began with a reminder of our worth and will continue to teach us lessons of value, transformation and the repurpose that God brings to each one of us through faith in Jesus.
Keep watching for more!
